John G. Garett is a seasoned marketing and sales executive with over 3 decades of experience. During the course of Garett's professional tenure, he has served as President of Orion Marketing-a division of Bates Healthworld Advertising, Managing Partner at Reach Marketing, and held Senior Marketing positions at such top tier companies as Tambrands, Pepsi-Cola and Ogilvy & Mather. Garett also directed the first Consumer Package Goods/Healthcare network involving major brands from such companies as Kraft, Kellogg's, Nestle, 3M and ConAgra.
Garett is a Chicago native with Midwestern roots and earned his Bachelors from Purdue University and his MBA from NYU Stern School of Business. He also studied economics at NYU under former Federal Reserve Chairman, Alan Greenspan, and is currently a PHD candidate in Behavioral Medicine and Healthcare Psychology/Pain Management from Northcentral University. Garett is an Adjunct Professor at Montclair State University, St. John's University and the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising College in New York.
In 1994, Garett launched Rx HealthAdvantage, a unique concept in the healthcare industry that builds on the relationship between pharmaceutical companies and their core consumers by offering incentive programs at the consumer level. Rx HealthAdvantage will be a new offering for Northwest.
