Recently, representatives from Cheque-Mates Pty. Ltd., one of Australia's largest direct mailing facilities, made a visit to the Northwest operations in Chicago. Mr. Rodney Frost, the CEO of Cheque-Mates, and Mr. Brett Edwards, the General Manager for NSW, flew into Chicago to visit the Northwest facilities: to gaining a better understanding of the advanced work, to learn about production methods, use of current technologies and to better understand the differences/similarities between the two internationally acclaimed production facilities.

An open dialog between the two leaders in Direct Mail, both Northwest and Cheque-Mates, yieled a mutually beneficial conversation, that not only enlightened both parties, but brought to light production work-flows, and best practices enterprises that are both advantageous not only to Northwest and Cheque-Mates, but to their customers as well.

"The site tour and partnership discussions with Northwest Mailing Service were very rewarding for both Mr Brett Edwards (NSW General Manager) and myself. The sheer volume of work produced alongside the USPS requirements for IMB were extremely interesting in comparison to Australia Posts requirement for the Four State Barcode.

We see great opportunities in establishing relationships with fellow mailing houses in other countries to offer integrated international solutions. Open discussions on product ranges, market movements, production methods and costs lead to Best Practice initiatives benefiting both parties and their clientele. These partnerships also facilitate the access to off-shore sites production facilities allowing both parties to procure and lodge locally rather than charging International postage and freight rates.
